Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend securing your vintage rentals at least 4 weeks in advance, for most months.  Our busiest months are March, May and September.  To ensure you get the pieces you love, we recommend reserving your date 10-12 weeks in advance.

What happens if something breaks or is missing?

We understand that accidents do happen.  If an item is broken, chipped, or missing, a replacement fee will be charged based on its replacement cost.

Should we wash the dishes before returning them?

No. Just remove any food or liquid from the dishes.  Please do not put any items in the microwave, as that may damage the gold trim on our vintage rentals.

Do you help with set up or take down?

We offer setup and/or take down, for an additional fee based on your party size.  

How long is the rental period?

Our standard rental period is three days, giving you time for setup, your special gathering, and an easy return.  

Our party is small, can we just rent teacups?

Yes, we love all parties, small and large! 

Are there any fees?

Restocking Fee: 20% of Rental Order.

Delivery/Pick up for parties 40 guests & under.  Delivery pricing reflects the time and care required to safely load, transport, unload all crates.

Within 10 miles of our Wake Forest location $80

Within 11-20 miles of our WF location $120

Within 21-30 miles of our WF location $160

Within 31-40 miles of our WF location $180

For larger parties include a $75 service fee in addition to the delivery charge, which covers the extra handling required for larger parties.

 

May we pick up our rental?

We do offer the option for clients to pick up their rental in order to save on delivery fees.  Please note that our vintage items are delicate and cannot be transported in the bed of a pickup truck.  For this reason we reserve the right to decline release of the rental if a pickup truck is brought.  

Estimates: A tea party for up to 24, is doable in a midsized vehicle, utilizing trunk & entire back seat. Larger party, will need an SUV/van to transport the numerous bins.
