Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend securing rentals at least 4 weeks in advance, for most months.  However, we are finding during our most popular months of March, May and September, 10-12 weeks in advance would be safer.

What happens if we break/misplace something?

Accidents do happen.  If you are aware, let us know. Pack up the pieces and return to us.  We do an inventory inspection after each event.  Any chips, cracks or shortages, will be billed at our replacement cost.   

Should we wash the dishes before returning them?

No. Just remove any food or liquid from the dishes.  Please do not put any items in the dishwasher nor the microwave, as that may damage the gold trim.

Do you help with set up or take down?

We can with previous arrangements.

How long is the rental period?

1-3 days.

Our party is small, can we just rent teacups?

Yes, we love all parties, small and large! 

Are there any added fees?

We charge Delivery/Pick up & Restocking Fees -  

Delivery/Pick up for parties under 50 guests:

Within 10 miles of our Wake Forest location $80

Within 11-20 miles of our WF location $120

Within 21-30 miles of our WF location $160

Within 31-40 miles of our WF location $200

Within 41-50 miles of our WF location $240.

For parties above 50 and above, please inquire within.

Restocking Fee:  20% of Rental Order

May we pick up our rental?

Yes.  We do have clients that prefer to pick up their rental to save on delivery fees.  As long as you have a vehicle other than a pick-up truck. We have the right to refuse transfer, if pick-up truck is the available mode of transportation. 

A tea party for up to 35, is doable in a midsized vehicle., utilizing trunk entire back seat. Larger party, 35-50 guests, would need an SUV/van to transport the numerous bins.  

We do have ways to save room for larger parties, by taking apart tiered stands.
